• The incumbent is responsible to assist manager in ensuring the availability of plant facility such as Co-Generation (COGEN), Boiler, Substations, and Solar System.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money within budget
• Conducting risk assessment to negate potential crisis in operations
• Implementing policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work relating to facilities
• Managing large-scale projects utilizing project management tools
• Identifying and implementing operational excellence projects
• Implementing and executing facilities preventative maintenance programs
• Assist manager to carry out total preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of COGEN, Boiler, Substations, and Solar System.
• To have high urgency on the matter related to critical equipment that have high impact.
• To assist Manager in tackling the bottle neck process, long term issue, special project, etc
• To take over manager position during manager absence or occupied with other matter.
• To ensure all improvement, new installation, new practices etc are shared with Project team and ensure it is incorporate at new construction site.
• To prepare for major shutdown or outage activities.
• To ensure spare part availability.
• Attend to any emergency situation anytime such as power failure, during either work hour or off-work hour.
• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Ensure the company comply with all legal requirements.
• To improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE), and to predict equipment deterioration rate.
• To ensure all accidents are documented and investigated, and all preventive measures & improvements are implemented accordingly.
• To liaise with all the related government body such as DOSH and DOE.
• To ensure all engineering works comply with the standards.
• To liaise with contractor or supplier on projects/modification/improvement activities.
• To liaise with other departments/plants on all related matters such as improvements, procedures, and information sharing.
• To ensure all expenditure is within the budget, and to control overtime.
• To ensure KPI\'s targets are achieved.
• To review supplier/contractor contract.
• To ensure all documents are done and kept properly in compliance with ISO and to keep track of all records.
• To rectify complain from customers (users).
• To carry out any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
• Leading a team of facilities engineers and technicians preferably for a medium to large-scale manufacturing organization with 20-30 direct or indirect staff.
• Managing staff performance and development.

REQUIREMENTSEducation:

• Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical or equivalent.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering/ maintenance.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

• Manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Operational excellence principles and tools (e.g. Value streams, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
• Energy, Waste Management and Water Treatment principles and practices.
• Disciplines and services related to functionality, safety and efficiency of built facilities.
