Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Ensure timely preparation of dishes that meet quality, taste, and visual standards.
Assist with menu preparation, ingredient portioning, and mise en place before each service.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, spoilage, or hazards promptly.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and report malfunctions immediately.
Support kitchen assistants and coordinate efficiently with service staff to ensure smooth operations.
Comply with all food handling procedures, hygiene policies, and company SOPs.
Assist in daily closing duties, including cleaning, waste disposal, and stock checking.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Chef or superior.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Prior experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and hygiene practices.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Responsible, disciplined, and committed to maintaining food quality standards.
Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and night shifts.
Positive attitude and team-oriented approach to work.
