Lead technical strategy, architecture design, and development roadmap for payment gateway and business applications.
Oversee design, development, integration, and deployment of scalable Fintech solutions.
Ensure regulatory compliance with RMiT, PCI-DSS, and other payment industry standards.
Mentor and guide the engineering team to deliver high-quality, secure software solutions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Operations, and Business teams to align technology with business goals.
Manage third-party integrations with banks, payment processors, e-wallets, QR payment providers, and POS systems.
Drive adoption of best practices in coding, security, DevOps, and system monitoring.
Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and ensure system uptime.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree an advantage).
8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Proven track record in Fintech, Payment Gateway, or Financial Services software projects.
Experience delivering mission-critical systems with high transaction volumes.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in financial systems.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Deep knowledge of payment processing systems, card-present & card-not-present environments, e-wallets, QR payments, and POS integrations.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks for Fintech in Malaysia, especially RMiT.
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React Native, AngularJS, or similar frameworks.
Solid experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and transaction reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Proficient in both Mandarin and English
