Manufacturing Engineer, InternLife Unlimited. Successful interns will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry, potentially crafting their career paths and crafting future employment opportunities.What will you be doing?Work closely with managers to complete specifically identified projects.Present project conclusions to senior leadership.Conduct root cause investigations for product defects, and identify and implement corrective and preventative actions with the team.Collect and trend data, perform device measurements, defect and process mapping, and conduct verification tests to identify potential root causes with the team.Support the appropriate disposition of materials by providing engineering inputs under general supervision, in conjunction with the Quality group.Support engineering studies, material preparation, and equipment/jig & fixture setup under supervision.Participate in equipment installation and continuous improvement projects.Support various process validation efforts, work with project teams on project implementation, and assist with small-scope projects or portions of larger projects together with the team.Apply basic lean principles to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities in manufacturing processes.What will you need to be successful?Candidates must be currently enrolled as undergraduates at an accredited university, majoring in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline, with excellent academic standing (3.0 GPA preferred). Previous relevant intern, part-time, or apprenticeship experience is preferred.Ideal candidates should have a strong curiosity about manufacturing engineering and process improvement, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and effective teamwork and collaboration skills. They should demonstrate leadership and project management abilities and possess strong communication skills, high learning agility, independent thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Time management and organization skills are essential to handling tight deadlines, multiple tasks, and multifaceted business growth.You.
