Job Description


Role Purpose - Design, integrate, or improve manufacturing systems or related processes. Manage implementation of new manufacturing systems in a project management mode. May work with commercial or industrial designers to refine product designs to increase producibility and decrease costs. Works without supervision and can be a reference in his domain including Floor to Floor (FTF) measurement and documentation related to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Key Responsibilities Process Design Engineering Contribute to the analysis of information, the specification of the methods, process steps, and the plant, machinery and equipment required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems, to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters. Engineering Solutions Design Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions. Engineering Standards Specification Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants. Engineering Inspections Carry out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and specify the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements. Contract Management Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan. Improvement/Innovation Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager. Knowledge Management System Work within established knowledge management systems to deliver pre-set outcomes for area of responsibility. Product and Solution Development Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems. Project Management Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. Manufacturing Methods/Processes Development Identify shortcomings in existing manufacturing processes, systems, and procedures; deliver straightforward improvements to manufacturing processes and methods with guidance from a more senior colleague. Health, Safety and Environment Follow the organization\'s Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) policies, procedures and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve these, escalating serious issues as appropriate. Data Collection and Analysis Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends. Solutions Analysis Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature. Internal Client Relationship Management Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans. Project Schedule Management Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on sequencing and scheduling tasks into a project plan. Engineering Build Builds engineering solutions without supervision and provides technical guidance on these solutions as needed. Costing and Budgeting Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on costing, budgeting and finance tasks. Education Bachelor\'s Degree or Equivalent Level Experience Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)
