Why Join Ranpak An opportunity to be involved in the high-growth sector of sustainable packaging solutions across a broad range of industrial and market segments To have an opportunity for outstanding career development To secure an attractive compensation and benefits package 1.0 JOB SCOPE The incumbent is responsible for the Plant operations. 2.0 REPORTING The Manufacturing Manager reports to Plant Manager. 3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES Executing standards and procedures relating to plant operation Planning and coordinating production activities as well as the work of subordinates Managing inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands Recommending process improvements to enhance product quality and capacity Monitoring and implementing quality control programs Investigating production issues, waste and developing resolutions Scheduling equipment maintenance and inspection Production planning with a focus on forecasting of material requirements and manpower utilization Coordinate on production schedule & planning and to prepare & submit a monthly production report. To monitor overall quality and output of production, QC and packing and ensuring customer requirements are met. To review production line cleaning, safety and preventive maintenance. To review and analyses Jennerjahn, Rewind or Fanfold machine reports. To constantly look into improving productivity and reducing rejects, waste and downtime. To review and update the quality system procedures and work instructions for the department. Prepare department budget for submission to Account Department. Ensure the department KPI and targets are achieved. To investigate and discuss with the team if not achieved. To plan and approve duty roster for the department. Ensure sufficient resources (manpower) for the department to operate effectively and efficiently. Ensure compliance of work safety practice Enforcing company rules and regulations. To carry out other duties or tasks as assigned by superior from time to time. 4.0 PROFILE Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing). Minimum 8 years of working experience in manufacturing. Proficient in English and Malay. Chinese a plus . Handling multiple production lines preferably for a medium to large-scale manufacturing organization. Managing & conduction staff\'s performance / appraisal and coaching. Provide training, guidance and coaching to subordinates (if any) to ensure subordinates are well trained to carry out their functions effectively. Building cooperative working relationships inter-department. Any other tasks assigned by the Superior / management. Manufacturing technologies and processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Operational excellence principles and tools (e.g. Value streams or Lean Manufacturing). Problem solving and troubleshooting techniques. Time study and manpower utilization calculation. Being able to establish strong relationships with other units or divisions and maintaining them over time. Led a team of production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
