Job Overview:

  • The Process Engineer is specializing in assembly to join our team. The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing and improving manufacturing processes and quality related to Techware operations, equipment, and module assembly within our contract manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, quality, automation, and process optimization, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Overall, the role of a Process Engineer is multifaceted, requiring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, project management capabilities, and a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:

Production:
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize assembly processes for equipment and modules to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development into the assembly process, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives and deliver results within established timelines.
Quality:
  • Solidify quality control measures and inspection protocols to ensure that assembled machines and handlers meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Strengthen assembly processes and documentation including providing poka-yoke solution and kitting process from the warehouse.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, deviations, and non-conformances through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) plans.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects, to drive operational excellence, cost reduction, and waste elimination within the assembly department and the operations
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to coordinate project activities, address technical challenges, and ensure seamless execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Adhere to all relevant safety guidelines and regulatory requirements while implementing and executing assembly processes. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Provide training and technical support to the production team, and other stakeholders to ensure proper understanding and execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and documentation to educate stakeholders on new technologies and processes. Provide ongoing support and guidance to facilitate smooth adoption and mitigate resistance to change.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Strong quality-minded personality with detail orientation.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master\'s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with at least 5 years in process engineering, particularly in machines and handler assembly within a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with automation technologies (e.g., robotics, PLC programming).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply analytical techniques to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
