Our Facilities Department in Port Klang is now looking for a Manufacturing Technician \xe2\x80\x93 Calibration Level 1.

What will you be doing?

• Manage the plant wide calibration coordination
• To establish and manage a plant wide calibration coordination for all measuring & test equipment, tools and jigs which require calibration
• To maintain a master list of equipment which requires calibration, their calibration status, frequencies, and due calibration dates
• To prepare and attend any internal and external audits pertaining to calibration
• To analyze inspection, measuring, and test equipment to determine the calibration requirements
• To perform analyses on equipment historical data to determine appropriate calibration intervals
• To witness / Monitor calibration work done in-house to ensure that calibration is done according to procedure and standards
• To develop and update calibration procedures and methods for equipment which are calibrated in-house
• To evaluate requirements for measurement standards and make recommendations for purchase
• To apply knowledge of national and international standards documents to the calibration program
• To monitor calibration cost and implement cost control to prevent cost overrun
• To monitor calibration cost and implement solutions to manage cost
• To liaise with external calibration service providers for all external calibration work
• To initiate purchase request (PR) to engage external calibration vendors to carry out calibration works
• To Coordinate the movement procedures with logistics in terms of documentations (Outbound, K1, K2, E-caf etc)
• To communicate with internal departments, customers, equipment manufacturers and vendors, regarding test, measurement, and calibration matters
• Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise

We think you should have:

Qualification

• Minimum a diploma in Mechanical, Instrument, Electronics or Mechatronics engineering

Experience

• Minimum 2 years work experience in test & measurement, calibration, or metrology environment.

Abilities and Knowledge

• Well versed in HSSE practice

• Flexible attitude towards work in high performance team and has eagerness to learn new task/skills.

• Candidates with practical knowledge on measurement and calibration of electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment has an advantage

• Sound knowledge in English both written and spoken

• IT literate

• Well versed with calibration clauses on ISO/API standard
