JOB DESCRIPTION



Read, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications for vessel construction or repair.

Mark and measure structural components, piping, and mechanical parts for cutting, drilling, welding, and assembly.

Ensure all markings are accurate, visible, and aligned with project requirements.

Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and QC teams to ensure proper identification of materials.

Verify materials and components against drawings and specifications before fabrication or installation.

Maintain proper documentation of marking and measurement activities for inspection and audit purposes.

Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to report discrepancies, material defects, or non-compliance issues.

Support quality control inspections, including fit-up checks, dimensional control, and welding preparations.

Ensure compliance with class society standards (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.) and internal quality procedures.

Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all HSE protocols and vessel safety regulations.

Assist in material traceability and preparation for audits or client inspections.

JOB REQUIREMENT



Minimum SPM or equivalent; Technical Certificate, Diploma, or vocational training in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in marine vessel marking, fabrication, or shipyard operations.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometric piping drawings, and fabrication blueprints.

Familiarity with marine vessel structures, piping, and mechanical components.

Basic understanding of welding, cutting, and fabrication processes.

Knowledge of class society standards and quality control procedures is an advantage.

Able to work in shipyard, port, or offshore environments.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physically fit and able to handle tools, materials, and measurement equipment safely.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES



Strong technical understanding of marine vessel structures and piping systems.

Proficient in measurement, marking, and layout techniques.

Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and QC teams.

Detail-oriented and committed to quality and precision.

Understanding of safety protocols, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation.

Good problem-solving and discrepancy reporting skills.

Ability to maintain organized documentation and support audits.

Basic knowledge of marine engineering terminology and materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
