Job Description

My client is an established Medical Device MNC and currently looking for a Market Access Lead to support their strategy and market development in Malaysia with the knowledge of the health care system and local trends.

• Assess the opportunities and challenges related to reimbursement facing the business, including an examination of emerging technologies and commercially available products, and effectively communicate the business impact to senior management.
• Identify the essential health economics needs for company platform products, collaborating with health economics and outcomes research colleagues to determine necessary actions.
• Take charge of developing and executing practical strategies aimed at securing optimal reimbursement (including coding, coverage, and payment) for the products and procedures.
• Lead the implementation of tactical planning activities necessary to achieve reimbursement objectives, such as submitting new code applications and creating customer billing guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and communicate economic value messages that promote the adoption of products.
• Manage the provision of appropriate internal training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal teams to enhance their awareness and understanding of health economics and market access competencies, and their role in supporting the success of products.
• Monitor policy developments of the products.
• Establish relationships in key markets with government officials, physicians, hospitals, and third-party payer decision-makers.
• Foster and maintain a work environment of continuous improvement that aligns with Quality Policy, Quality System, and relevant regulations.
• Ensure comprehensive training for all employees is conducted and documented accordingly.

• Bachelor\'s degree in pharmacy, life science and related subjects. ]

• Minimum of 5 years relevant Market Access, Sales and/or Marketing experience in pharmaceutical industry.

• A detailed understanding of the commercial principles underpinning the pharmaceutical /medical device market.

• Good knowledge of the Health Systems / policy and Market Access/Government affairs in Malaysia

• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
