:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 08S&P Global Commodity InsightsThe Role: Market Analyst - Renewables MarketsThe Team: S&P Global Commodity Insights is the leading provider of Clean Technology & Renewables data and insight and is currently looking to recruit a market analyst focused on the renewables sector in Penang, Malaysia to support its rapidly growing and successful team, which is located across various locations in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.The Impact: The successful candidate will be keen to work as part of a global team, developing knowledge of the cleantech and renewable energy industry, as well as established analytical and communication skills. They will produce high quality data and reports to support the critical business decisions of our customers.What's in it for you: The individual will be a key contributor to the Renewables Markets team and will support clients by providing detailed market research and maintaining critical databases for customers ranging from global energy giants to innovative technology startups. They will focus on the rapidly developing market for the renewables industry, developing deep expertise in technology trends and analyzing project pipelines, leveraging that knowledge to inform research initiatives, with a primary focus on updating and enhancing the database.Responsibilities:

• Collect, manage, and analyze market data to track and identify trends, policies, stakeholders, projects, and technology developments in the renewables sector.
• Maintain and enhance critical databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for research initiatives.
• Collaborate with both a global team and local colleagues to align data and insights.
• Support client inquiries by providing detailed answers related to research findings.

What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have established knowledge and a keen interest in the renewable energy sector. Prior experience of working in a research analyst role, as well both English and Chinese (mandarin) language skills are also highly valued:Ideal:

• Knowledge of the cleantech and renewables industry.
• Good communicator
• Strong analytical skills, including competent with Excel
• Fluent in English and Chinese (mandarin)
