What will you be engaged in?

The City Marketing & Business Development Associate is responsible for planning and executing campaigns to boost brand visibility and analysing market trends for targeted initiatives. Simultaneously, you are tasked with efficient zone management to optimise operational efficiency of SOCAR zones. This role requires a combination of marketing expertise and hands-on zone management to drive growth, increase brand awareness, and expand the customer base in the designated area. Effective communication, strategic thinking, and adaptability are essential qualities for excelling in this multifaceted role.

As our new City Marketing & Business Development Associate, you will have the opportunity handle and manage:-

1. Marketing:

  • Improving member engagement through various initiatives, including Member Engagement activities, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) & SMP Page Launch, On-Ground Activities, Digital Marketing, Partnerships, and Regional Promotions
  • Localised Marketing: Tailor your marketing efforts to specific regions or demographics to resonate with local audiences.
  • Collaborate with the national marketing team to localise communication and provide creative ideas based on local sentiment.
  • Analyse and understand the fluctuations in demand and the impact of seasonality and devise suitable marketing campaigns to optimised member bookings
  • Monitor and analyse executed campaigns to optimise performance and ensure maximum return on investment (ROI) for marketing spend.
  • Stay informed about online marketing trends and ensure that marketing strategies are up-to-date.
  • Enhance brand awareness and visibility in the region by forming partnerships and collaborations with media agencies, local authorities, and engaging in on-ground activities.
2. Business Development:
  • Drive new business models: Deal with partners and merchants, coordinate workflows
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to drive new business models
  • Be a do-er for all executional aspects of New Business initiatives and projects
  • Liaise with marketing, business, operation team to drive business and operation structures for the new business model and to communicate it with the public
3. SOCAR Zone Management:
  • Secure car-sharing spots (SOCAR Zones) based on local characteristics, urban infrastructure, and customer demand.
  • Take proactive measures to prevent and resolve on-site issues at zones such as unauthorised parking by other vehicles, invalid parking season passes, and parking bay relocations to ensure smooth operation.
  • Monitor zone performance by analysing user and reservation patterns to make informed decisions to optimise revenue
  • Plan vehicle zone relocation strategically to match demand changes and seasonal variations to optimise overall utilisation efficiency.
  • Zone Contract Renewal: Initiate discussions with partners to express the intent to renew. Discuss potential changes, including negotiating fees with parking vendors to reduce direct expenses.
  • Zone Payment: Ensure timely, accurate submissions, and precise payment tracker updates.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills for overseeing multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and influencers.
  • Thrive in start-up and fast-paced environments with guided mentors.
  • Familiar with Google Workspace especially Google Sheets and Slides.
  • Positive attitude, integrity, strong work ethic, plus enthusiasm and a sense of humour!
