Job Description

:

• Visit, survey and canvas various palm oil mills all over Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak & Sabah;
• Directly report to the Regional Commodity & Raw Material(s) Director;
• Able to align and work with set procurement targets for the acquisition of palm oil by-products, and established key performance indicators (KPIs);
• Sourcing and negotiation of best bids/offers for palm-oil based by-products, and other-related commodities to continuously support ongoing business operations;
• Develop and implement own sourcing strategies (i.e. on their initiative) within the various category of palm oil by-products;
• Monitor the current market price of the said products, with a view of aligning existing purchasing strategies in line with such price movements;
• Coordinate and ensure that all the logistics pertaining to the \xe2\x80\x98end-to-end\xe2\x80\x99 collection, delivery and transport of the purchased palm oil by-products are carried out within the required period/duration of time, and quantity;

• 1 - 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in procurement function(s) in the palm-oil, plantation, palm-oil refineries and/or oleochemicals industries preferred;
• Candidate MUST be willing to travel on the job, up to 90% of the time (mileage claim and accommodation allowance provided)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge of the palm oil industry and trends an added advantage;
• Good time management skills; and
• Strong work ethic and bright, positive attitude.
