The Marketing Intern will closely work with the Carousell marketing team to work on initiatives aimed at growing the user base and revenue of Carousell. Reporting to the Marketing Associate, the role will be responsible for designing, creating, and executing various marketing projects across different touchpoints.



Strategic:

  • Support business units and functions on campaigns and project ideas.
  • Identify priority growth drivers and strategies to unlock growth in marketing campaigns and revenue streams
  • Brainstorm social media content and engagement activities
Operational:
  • Assist in executing social media strategies including creating content for Tiktok and Instagram Reels, including being featured on these channels
  • Assist in planning and execution of marketing campaigns effectively with guidance through various channels such as in-app, EDM, and blog
  • Coordinate with key people on cross-functional projects.
  • Engage in administrative work as needed.
  • Works with internal and external tools effectively with guidance.
  • Reporting on the success metrics of campaigns launched
Qualifications

Educational Background
  • Currently taking courses related to media, marketing, business, and communications (e.g. BroadComm, MassComm, Multimedia Arts, Film, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Social Media Courses)
Technical Skills Required
  • Copywriting and copyediting
  • Knowledge in social media management
  • Excellent command of English and Malay (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Google Workplace applications (Gmail, Slides, Doc, Sheets)
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Video editing is a plus
