Master Scheduler

Job Description


Our client is among the region\'s oldest and most established food and beverage FMCG companies with its brands enjoying the distinction of being a market leader and household name in many categories. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Master Scheduler, who is experienced in supply planning, to be based at Shah Alam.

:

  • Create weekly planning file by considering line capacity, efficiency, and flavor mix.
  • Plan the requirement and ratio split between in house and Co-manufacturers volume. This is done by considering capacity, demand requirement, volume allocation stated in Co-manufacturer contract, balancing in house and co-manufacturers capacity utilization.
  • Optimize the inventory stocking level in order to provide excellent service level (supply) to customers / markets whilst minimizing the inventory holding cost.
  • Generate and run tools for inventory optimization to identify targeted inventory levels for finished goods. Continuously analyse and redefine the correct inventory holding based on the actual daily operation activities.
  • Review and monitor the inventory level against target in monthly basis to keep track on the progress and define the corrective action to ensure meeting the set target.
  • Ensure demand is fulfilled on time, in full. (No OOS)
  • Response to Sales fluctuation by regulating production and raw material planning.
  • Effective communication with internal team such as sales, marketing, demand, procurement, production, QC, QA, logistics and distribution, external parties such as 3PL, co-packer and contract packer to ensure the business needs and objectives are met.
  • Take lead on managing supply chain collaboration with Sales Forecast Team, Procurement, Production, and Logistics. Constantly communicate with key contact person from various departments of the organization to ensure the understanding and alignment on the latest supply strategies.
  • Manage planning on new initiatives. Schedule production based on materials availability date. Ensure on time supply for Marketing launch campaign. Oversees the overall new product launch or promotion to ensure the correct and sufficient supply to meet the scheduled new launches or promotion within the agreed time frame.
  • Manage ad hoc orders for Marketing promotional activities, for instance, take charge on special promo packaging project involving co-packer, procurement, production, logistics, Marketing and Sales.
  • Manage Co-manufacturers on matters related to finished goods supply and monitor monthly delivery service level to ensure it meets the agreed qty.
  • Capacity planning with co-manufacturers.
  • Work closely with co-manufacturers on production scheduling to ensure supply requirement is fulfilled.
  • Manage co-manufacturers relationship and performance professionally to deliver excellent service levels.
  • Place monthly order to co-manufacturers. Adjusting the order requirements based on demand.
  • Create Purchase Requisition (PR) in SAP for Co-manufacturers PO issuance.
  • Ensure supply process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays, excessive inventory or loss of sales opportunity whilst contending with the low demand accuracy.
  • To generate stable yearly, monthly, & daily production schedule by creating 12 weekly as well as 12 monthly production plan
  • As delegated authority for PO release under COA for all PMs & PMs ordering with value below RM 1million
  • Manage Singapore order on co-shared SKU produced by co-manufacturers.
  • Main contact person to all co-manufacturers and Singapore on issues related to planning, scheduling, raw material supply, logistics, and quality. Lead and coordinate internally and externally to solve the problems.
  • Fulfil the customers requirement or demand through the most efficient of resources planning.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of related supply planning experience
  • Strong background in supply planning of FMCG industry
  • Experienced in working with suppliers, Co-manufacturers
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Good command of spoken and written English language
  • Ability to interact effectively using proper written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office application including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Outstanding relationship building ability with internal/external business partners
