To be based in Kuala Lumpur International Airport Sepang, Selangor
Coordinate the activities of subordinates involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment
Oversee and participate in counting, weighing, and measuring incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
Review customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines
Authorize special orders within procedural and established limits
Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions, prepares requisitions and computes costs
Determine method of shipment based on knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; packages, weighs and marks container for shipment; prepares necessary forms such as bills of lading
Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify
Review difficult or complex work procedures to answer questions presented by workers
Operate a sit-down forklift as needed
Model continuous improvement and alignment with Lead methodologies behaviors for peers
Other Job ResponsibilitiesSafety Protocol:
Complete all required safety training
Follow safe work practices by lifting no more than 35 pounds, using ergonomic pads, stretching when needed, etc.
Adhere to personal/ and product safety guidelines by:
utilizing appropriate PPE following clean room procedures
following Lockout Tagout policies and procedures (LOTO and ZEST)
utilizing fixtures (lift hoists, lift track, gantry cranes, lifting tool) to aid in the assembly of tools
Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA) inspections and document, correct and/or escalate safety issues/hazards to appropriate individuals/departments
Respond directly and quickly to unsafe practices; escalate to next level manager (safety representative, lead, supervisor, manager); and escalate any unresolved issues (incorrect use of hoist, poor placement of tools/cords/ladders, etc., not using cones or barriers, PPE misuse)
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in any discipline. Logistics disciplines will be an added advantage.
1-3 years of related experience in material handling and inventory control
Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations - SAP system experience will be an added advantage
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
Knowledge of record keeping practices
Knowledge of safety practices
Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
Skill in operating automotive, materials handling and office equipment
Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects
MHE trained - any MHE Handling experience will be an added advantage
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Skype, Excel, Word, PPT, OneNote
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in operating material handling
MHE trained - Forklift preferred
