About the role
The Material Planner (Direct Material) is responsible for ensuring timely availability of materials to support production needs while optimizing cost and inventory levels. The role involves close coordination with suppliers and internal teams to prevent shortages, reduce obsolescence, and drive continuous improvement in material planning processes.
What You Will DoResponsible for direct material planning, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time, with lowest cost and in the correct quantities to meet customer demands.
Monitor and control inventory levels against agreed target levels
Work closely with FG planner or Product Planning Group to minimize material obsolescence
Responsible for meeting material allocation strategy and cost savings targets, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Actively contributes to the development and support of material planning processes and review ways to make continuous improvements.
Drive site / global projects related to SCM portfolio
What you will needBachelor's degree in any discipline.
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
