xe2x96xa0JOB PURPOSE:
Ensures that right materials are available at the right time, with the right quantity and at the right cost to support production schedules and meet customer demands. Develops and maintains material plans that consider demand forecasts, production schedules, inventory levels, and supplier lead times. Reviews material inventories to limit slow movers and obsolescence.xe2x96xa0Role:

• Reporting to the Material Planning Head, the Material Planner will support Henkel material planning agenda and drives initiatives in the region
• Maintain good connection & collaboration with material suppliers
• Translates the production plan into mid-long term Material Requirements Plan, ensuring availability of production material under the consideration of forecasts
• Ensures correct ordering of material supply in terms of quantity and time while optimizing order size and minimizing obsoletes
• Maintains the time and quantity MRP Parameters, aggregates cross-category requirements and acts on any MRP exceptions in accordance with the production plan / finite schedule
• Collaborates with suppliers and conducts Rough Cut Capacity Planning for all material requirements vs. qualified sources of supply to support the production plan at an effective cost
• Supports on the material inventory analysis by reviewing the inventory policies, tracking and managing slow-movers, and monitoring obsoletes
• Identifies material sourcing risks or opportunities and escalates issues to the appropriate parties (internal and external)
• Identifies and supports on continuous improvement initiatives that enhance Planning performance

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, BA or equivalent
• 5-8 years experience in the Area of Supply Chain
• Operational experience in Material Planning / supply planning
• Strong knowledge of system: ERP system/ SAP / Kinaxis/ OMP/ o9 or similar
• Proven success in operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills, collaboration & hands on experience
• Change Adaptability, Agility & Flexibility

• Japanese language skills
• English language skills
• Based in Malaysia (KL)
• First 3-6 months frequent travel
