Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities The teacher shall report to the Principal and Deputy Principal and is responsible for carrying out professional duties in accordance with the school's policies and as directed by school leadership.

1. Pedagogy The teacher is expected to employ effective pedagogy that enables children to become successful learners who achieve personal excellence by:

Building learning-focused relationships Empowering children to become or prepare to be independent learners Using assessment information to plan progression for the differing needs of learners in class Using appropriate assessment tools for formative and summative assessment Providing high-quality feedback to learners Encouraging children to reflect on their learning Engaging children in the construction of their learning processes Involving parents in their children's learning through regular parent-teacher dialogue Using relevant ICT to improve student learning and differentiate instruction Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development Demonstrating a high level of relevant curriculum knowledge Incorporating relevant thinking and reflective skills into the curriculum Preparing and presenting informative reports to parents and other stakeholders as required Teaching all elementary grades in the school Actively engaging in teacher learning and development Continually seeking to improve learning and teaching strategies Developing knowledge and skills related to primary education Actively engaging in the school's appraisal procedures
2. Other Projects, Duties, and Responsibilities

Having a working knowledge of teachers' professional duties and legal liabilities Operating at all times within the stated policies and practices of the school Establishing effective and appropriate relationships with colleagues and parents Setting a good example through presentation, personal, and professional conduct Co-operating with other staff to ensure sharing and effective usage of resources for the benefit of the school and learners Contributing to the corporate life of the school through active participation in meetings and school management systems Taking part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open Days and stakeholder events Carrying out any other reasonable request from a manager to undertake work of a similar level not specified in this job description

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or related field. Teaching experience in Maths and/or Science, preferably in primary/elementary school. Strong command of English for instruction and communication. Knowledge of modern teaching methods and use of ICT in classrooms. Ability to plan lessons, assess students, and provide feedback. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Professional, responsible, and committed to student learning and development.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
