The M&E Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all mechanical and electrical works to ensure that installations meet design intent, project specifications, and safety standards. The role involves close coordination between consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to achieve smooth integration of M&E systems within the construction program.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee all mechanical and electrical (M&E) installation works at site.
Review and verify M&E drawings, specifications, and design details for accuracy and constructability.
Liaise with consultants, architects, and main contractors to resolve M&E technical issues.
Plan and monitor M&E work progress to ensure alignment with overall project schedule.
Coordinate with civil and architectural teams to avoid design and site clashes.
Ensure all M&E works comply with statutory requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and ELV systems.
Prepare site reports, inspection requests, and progress updates.
Manage and coordinate M&E subcontractors' work performance and resource allocation.
Review material submissions, shop drawings, and method statements for consultant approval.
Assist in cost control, variation assessments, and value engineering for M&E scope.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
.
Minimum
5 years of relevant experience
in M&E coordination within the
building construction industry
.
Experience in
high-rise, commercial, or mixed-development projects
is an advantage.
Strong understanding of M&E systems, installation methods, and project sequencing.
Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficient in
AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
, and scheduling software.
Able to work independently and meet tight project deadlines.
Possess own transport and willing to travel to site.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
