- Review, coordinate, and validate M&E design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, authority standards, and constructability.
- Monitor and supervise M&E installation works on-site to ensure proper workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project schedule.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to resolve design conflicts, technical issues, and installation discrepancies.
- Conduct regular site inspections on mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and electrical (power distribution, ELV, lighting) systems.
- Ensure all M&E systems are integrated and tested properly through T&C (Testing & Commissioning), including witnessing functional tests.
- Track work progress and verify contractors' claims, VO submissions, and material approvals related to M&E components.
- Assist in authority submissions and ensure M&E compliance with local codes such as BOMBA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, IWK, SPAN, TNB, etc.
- Review material samples, technical data sheets, and equipment selections to ensure quality and suitability for high-rise development.
- Manage and resolve site issues proactively, ensuring timely rectification to avoid delays in project milestones.
- Support handover and defect rectification processes, including DLP inspections, system troubleshooting, and coordinating contractor responses.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in high-rise, building services, construction, or consultancy environments are encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of M&E systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, ELV, firefighting systems).
- Familiarity with local authority requirements and standards (BOMBA, TNB, IWK, SPAN, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, etc.).
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills, especially for site-related issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
- Willing to be based on-site and comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
