Job Description

1. Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute all mechanical and electrical works at the project site to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality requirements, safety standards, and project timelines.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Project Planning & Coordination

Review M&E drawings, specifications, and construction plans. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project team for technical matters. Prepare method statements, work schedules, RFI, and technical submissions.

B. Site Supervision

Monitor and supervise M&E installation works including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, ELV systems, etc. Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, standards, and authority requirements. Conduct daily site inspections and resolve any site M&E issues.

C. Quality & Compliance

Ensure installations comply with local authority guidelines (e.g., TNB, IWK, Bomba). Perform testing & commissioning (T&C) for all M&E systems. Verify shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submissions.

D. Safety

Enforce safety rules and ensure safe M&E installation practices. Attend toolbox meetings and ensure workers follow site safety procedures.

E. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare daily/weekly site reports. Track progress of M&E works against project schedule. Verify subcontractor claims and work progress. Maintain proper documentation for QA/QC, site inspection forms, testing records, and commissioning reports.

3. Job RequirementsEducation & Experience

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Building Services, or related fields. Minimum

2-5 years

experience in construction M&E works. Experience in high-rise / commercial / industrial projects is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV). Able to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and site coordination tools.

Soft Skills

Good communication and coordination skills. Strong problem-solving ability. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Good teamwork and leadership towards site workers/subcontractors.

4. Working Conditions

Based at project site. Extended working hours may be required depending on project progress.
