Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Assist and support the

Facilities Manager

in managing engineering operations at a mission-critical Data Center facility. Coordinate and manage service providers and vendors to ensure compliance with operational requirements and SLAs. Plan and execute service schedules in accordance with OEM recommendations for critical systems (e.g., UPS, CRAC, chillers, generators). Proactively resolve technical issues with minimal escalation, ensuring uptime and reliability. Supervise and ensure effective operation of engineering services including electrical, mechanical, ELV, and fire protection systems. Oversee shift teams and external contractors, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and statutory standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Maintain accurate site logs, activity records, and asset registers. . Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs for all MEPF systems. Monitor energy usage and implement energy-saving initiatives. Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., BOMBA, ST, DOE) relevant to Data Center operations.

Skill Requirement

Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in high-pressure environments. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and creative thinking abilities. Capable of planning and managing engineering projects within a live Data Center environment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and respond effectively to emergencies.

Education / Equivalent Experiences

Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E operations, preferably within Data Center or other critical facilities. Familiarity with Data Center systems and terminology (e.g., CRAC, UPS, TX, ACMV, CDA). Knowledge of Malaysian statutory and regulatory requirements related to facilities management.
