Job Description

Review M&E design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and consultant comments. Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, QS, and subcontractors to ensure smooth integration of M&E systems. Prepare work schedules, method statements, and technical submissions. Oversee daily M&E installation works on site (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, electrical, ELV, lift, mechanical systems). Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot site issues and propose solutions to avoid delays. Ensure all M&E works comply with design requirements, regulatory standards, and authority guidelines (e.g., TNB, IWK, Bomba, Suruhanjaya Tenaga). Prepare and coordinate submissions such as RFI, shop drawings, material approvals, and test reports. Support in testing & commissioning (T&C) activities and handover documentation. Monitor workmanship to ensure high-quality M&E installation. Ensure subcontractors adhere to safety standards and site safety regulations. Prepare QA/QC checklists, inspection forms, and compliance reports. Liaise with M&E subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities. Review quotations, evaluate technical proposals, and assist in cost control with QS. Verify progress claims and variation works related to M&E systems. Maintain proper records of inspections, test results, drawings, and project documents. Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for management. Assist in project handover including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Requirement:

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Building Services, or related field. Minimum 2-3 years experience in construction M&E works (building, infrastructure, or industrial projects). Strong understanding of M&E systems, installation standards, and local authority requirements. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; BIM/Revit experience is an advantage. Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Able to work under pressure and at construction sites when required.
