Department Overview

R&D team that specializes in the development of world class digital two-way subscriber radios for consumer or business market.

Generate new mechanical concept and work with architects to meet the product requirement Conduct feasiblity study and prototyping to validate initial ideas Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawing using CAD Software (CREO) Conduct theoretical modeling to predict and optimize the design Create BOM, maintain and manage the BOM for the new product. Develop and execute test plan to validate the performance. Analyse test data and conduct experiments using statistical tools and techniques to confirm root cause of failure. Document all design decisions, analysis and calculation in a structured format for traceability throughout the development process Work with various cross function team such as Quality, Electrical Software and Supply Chain team on the closure of each activity and ensure schedule is being met.

Basic Requirements

Candidate must possess a recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering Self-motivated, assertive, results driven, and consistently delivering strong outcomes within deadlines Possess strong analytical/ logic and problem solving Strong interpersonal and communication skills Have basic knowledge in material properties and design guidelines of mechanical commodity such as plastic and sheet metal Understand manufacturing operation and assembly process Familiar with the application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) will be added advantage Familiar with 3D software (CREO) will be an added advantage Willing to work at Bayan Lepas, Penang
