Job Description

Primary Function:
Be a creative and proactive contributor on the designing team, focused on continuous improvement.
Work on a project from the initial brief, through the design and development stage, to the testing of one or more prototypes, right through to final manufacture.
Develop and design mechanical systems or hardware for projects assigned.
Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability, and throughput.
Developing, testing, and evaluating theoretical designs.
Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
Liaise with the system control department in optimizing equipment performance.
Liaise with customers or suppliers in defining the technical requirements or specs of the assigned projects.

Secondary Function:
Provide guidance and proper jigs & fixtures to perform equipment calibration and alignments.
Ensure mechanical designs integrate well with other sections by involving himself/herself heavily in the equipment assembly, integration, and test run.
Generate and update mechanical part drawings, pneumatic schematics diagram, and BOM list.
To source, select, and purchase all the materials of mechanical components.
To provide technical support and resolve design issues.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and above.
At least 5 years of working experience in mechanical design or related, and above.
Computer knowledge - Siemens NX8, Intermediate SOLIDWORK skills, CAD and MICROSOFT OFFICE.
Knowledge in FMEA.
Knowledge of Advance Pneumatic
