Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer in an equipment manufacturing company, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative equipment solutions, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise designs, troubleshoot issues, and support the product development process from concept to production.

• Designs products and systems to fulfill process requirements by applying engineering principles.
• Selects or develops tools that meet specifications, utilising manuals, drafting tools, and specialised software.
• Specifies system components or oversees modifications to ensure alignment with engineering design and performance standards.
• Creates models of alternative processing methods to assess feasibility or new applications for system components, recommending procedural implementations.
• Inspects and evaluates field installations, suggesting design changes to eliminate product malfunctions.
• Investigates equipment failures and challenges, diagnosing operational issues and providing recommendations.
• Modifies designs to achieve desired functional and operational performance.
• Researches and analyses data, including international customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals, to assess design feasibility or applications.
• Determines parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety protocols, and service schedules needed to keep machines and equipment in optimal condition.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Work Experience: Over 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related industry.
• Skills / Aptitude:

• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Familiar with Microsoft applications.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for interacting with coworkers and customers via email and phone.
