Job Description

Our Client : A Swedish publicly listed group, currently working with leading global OEMs in exciting industries such as consumer electronics, home appliances, telecommunications and automotive.

Industry : Manufacturing / Production

Location : Penang Science Park, Penang

Tenure : Permanent, Full Time

• Responsible for product designing as well as new product RFQ.
• Review customer's part design and propose for DFM.
• Manage new product and tooling design activities to ensure proper new start-up compliance as per customer's requirement.
• Build up Bill of Material (BOM) into ERP system for new product as well as updating BOM when there is ECN issued.
• Capable to analyze root cause of tooling problem, troubleshooting, tooling improvement and problem defining.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, QA and SCM team for any new project matters and propose for corrective & preventive action with comprehensive report to achieve targets and timelines.
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan, schedule changes and recommending actions.
• Liaise with customer on technical issues during new product development stages.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as required.
• Comply to RBA and Supplier Code of Conducts requirements.

Job Requirement

• Qualification: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent.
• Working experience: At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in part designing, tool designing and/ or in the related industry.
• Required skill(s): AutoCAD, Designing.
• Strong knowledge and skills in use of softwares such as Solidword, ProE.
• Strong knowledge and skills in Project Management is essential.

Able to comprehend and interpret part / tooling drawings and technical instructions. * Highly self-motivated, self-discipline able to portray good teamwork.
