Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, with offices located in Selangor and Penang. In Malaysia, Bosch has diversified businesses in Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing plants in Penang providing Car Multimedia, Power Tools and Automotive Steering systems. In 2017, Malaysia contributed sales of RM 615 million (127 million euro) and employed more than 2,800 associates.

• Mechanical representative in product development teams whom responsible for concept of detail modeling design for new product including all engineering, component, system design and technical solution related matters.
• Execution of all process of new products development projects by ensuring all processes according to standard procedures. Ensure design solutions meet DFM (Design for Manufacturing) requirements.
• Cross functional coordination with suppliers and counterpart from other BOSCH location.
• Develop / improve new / existing technical solutions based on technical requirements working closely with project team members.
• Plan, coordinate and build prototypes.
• Responsible for bill of materials (BOM) creation for products.
• Develop product test plan together with design team and quality engineers.
• Guide test engineers / participate in new product testing and validation.
• Provide status reporting of the tasks according to project plan.
• Assist / responsible for documents such as , design notes, FMEA, technical review and part approval.
• Assist with production issues (i.e. failure analysis) for new and current products.
• Assist / support quality engineers in field return analysis, quality and reliability improvement for launched product.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master in mechanical engineering.
• At least 4 years experience in product development projects with good track record of project closing.
• Proficiency in design metal/plastic components and / or part assemblies for consumer goods or household appliances.
• Proficiency in PTC Creo, and knowledge in CAD designing tools, PDMlink or Solidwork would be an added advantage.
• Experience and able to demonstrate leadership to drive the project team as the representative of Mechanical Design PIC
• Self-driven and result oriented individual who have strong interpersonal, analytical and problem

Solving skills. Able to work effectively as an independent individual as well as team player.

• Strong focus on results. Fluent in spoken and written English.
