Design and Specification:
Involved in the design and specification of M&E systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire safety systems. M&E engineers to check construction drawings for discrepancies and ensure they accurate and complete.
Site Supervision and Monitoring:
M&E engineers to supervise the installation of M&E system on site and monitor progress to ensure it meets project requirements and deadlines.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
M&E engineer to address any technical issues or problems that may arise during construction, including drawing discrepancies or unexpected findings.
Budget Management:
M&E engineers are responsible for managing the budget for M&E works, including cost analysis, quantity takeoff and claims management.
Liaison with Stakeholders:
They liaise with clients, consultants, subcontracts and suppliers to ensure that M&E are carried out in accordance with contract requirements and authorities regulations.
Compliance with Regulations:
M&E engineers ensure that M&E systems are compliant with relevant building codes, safety standards and other regulations.
Documentation and Reporting:
They maintain accurate records of M&E works, prepare progress reports and update clients on project status.
Safety:
M&E engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of construction workers and building occupants.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer or a related field.
At least 2-5 years of experience in Facilities maintenance operations, preferably in a property management or building services environment.
Proficient in managing Operation in the Facilities maintenance.
Familiarity with building maintenance processes and Malaysian Building Codes and Standards.
Strong coordination and problem-solving skills for handling maintenance-related issues.
Familiar with buildings and infra (road) projects.
Advantage for candidates have been involved in building chemical/biological lab.
