About the Role

We are looking for a

Mechanical Engineer (Project & Design)

to join an established engineering company specialising in

crane systems and material handling equipment

.
This role focuses on

mechanical & structural design

, engineering calculations, and supporting projects from design through fabrication and installation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

mechanical & structural design

for cranes and material handling systems Prepare

3D models and detailed 2D drawings

Execute

engineering calculations

to ensure structural integrity and compliance Select suitable mechanical components based on project requirements Design parts optimized for

fabrication and manufacturing

Coordinate with internal teams and

international EPC clients

Prepare and manage

technical documentation

and project records Apply

IECEx / ATEX principles

for explosion-proof design (training provided if required)

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical Engineering

Strong academic background Proficient in

AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks

Good understanding of

mechanical design & drafting principles

Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks Good communication skills in English Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage
Note: This role is suited for engineers interested in equipment / machinery design rather than piping or rotating equipment roles.
