Position: Maintenance Engineer / Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced

Maintenance Engineer / Supervisor

to lead our maintenance operations and ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production machinery. This role suits a

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize machinery to maintain peak performance and minimize downtime.

Team Leadership

Supervise, guide, and train maintenance technicians, ensuring high productivity and adherence to best practices. Plan and manage work schedules effectively to meet operational needs.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Promote a culture of safety and accountability across the team.

Preventive Maintenance

Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance schedules. Monitor spare parts inventory to ensure timely availability and cost efficiency.

Continuous Improvement

Drive equipment efficiency and cost-saving initiatives through innovation, process optimization, and technology adoption.

Administration & Reporting

Manage and document all work orders in

SAP

, ensuring detailed and accurate maintenance records. Track and control maintenance expenditures within approved budgets.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues efficiently. Prepare and present regular maintenance performance reports to the Engineering Manager.

Emergency Response

Respond promptly to urgent repairs and unexpected equipment breakdowns to restore operations quickly.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

Degree

in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering with at least

5 years of relevant experience

, OR

Diploma

in the same fields with a minimum of

8 years of relevant experience

.

Skills & Competencies

Proven leadership and team management abilities. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with hands-on experience in maintaining pumps, gears, valves, piping, conveyors, and related systems. Excellent communication skills in

English

(proficiency in additional languages is an advantage). Proficiency in

SAP

for maintenance management is preferred. Flexible to work extended hours and attend to emergency breakdowns when required. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with industry standards.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
