Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer leads maintenance and production teams to ensure machinery reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency. The role also enforces food safety and environmental standards while driving continuous improvement and team development across shifts.

• Lead and supervise Technicians and Operators to meet production KPIs and company objectives.
• Ensure machinery is maintained in optimal condition through preventive and autonomous maintenance systems.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, yield, and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) in line with ISO 22000, HACCP, and FSSC standards.
• Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and practices meet industry regulations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform hands-on repairs to minimize downtime.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance productivity.
• Mentor and train team members to build technical competencies and ensure policy adherence.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards.
• Support environmental compliance including ISO 14001 and industrial waste management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, FSMS, ISO standards, and SHE practices.
• Hands-on experience with machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
