Our Controls & Systems Engineers department in Port Klang, Malaysia is now looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Support.

What will you be doing?

Role is to provide manufacturing support for our Hydraulic Valves and Couplings team including:

• Technical development of sub-suppliers
• Maintenance and update of mechanical 2D drawings and 3D models
• Review and provide engineering dispositions for supplier and manufacturing non-conformances
• Creation and development of work instructions, assembly procedures and factory acceptance tests
• Investigation of product and component non-conformance using 8D methodology
• Process and product improvement
• Cost reduction initiatives
• Digitialisation of documents, procedures and test methodologies

We think you should have:

• Minimum a degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years relevant design experience including detail engineering and manufacturing support
• Detailed knowledge of hydraulic control systems
• Conversant with requirements of various oilfield equipment codes and standards such as API 6A, 17F, ISO 13628-6 etc
• Detailed 2D and 3D Part and Assembly modelling in Solidworks
• LEAN mindset
• Genuine team player
• Can do attitude
