Job Description

We are looking for Mechanical Fitter to fit and assemble metal parts to fabricate production machines and other equipment. They use a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Determining specifications for components to be created based on blueprints for mechanical systems. Measuring and constructing components out of raw materials through cutting, shaping, and grinding. Assembling fabricated components into a larger machine or system. Complying with operations, safety, and maintenance procedures. Understanding and interpreting diagrams, blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the sequence of operations. Operating specialized equipment. Performing regular maintenance and repair work and conducting diagnostic tests to determine the root of problems. Monitoring the fabrication and assembly process. Replacing damaged or defective components. Adhering to other overall on-site regulations.

Skills:

General knowledge of manufacturing site standards and safety procedures. Thorough attention to detail. The ability to use their initiative. Knowledge of engineering science and technology. The ability to work well with others. Design skills and knowledge. Physical strength and stamina.

Education:

SPM Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Levels 1 to 3
