The Mechanical Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all mechanical works to ensure successful execution of projects. This includes design review, resource planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, while ensuring compliance with safety standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Management
Lead and manage all mechanical activities for assigned projects.
Prepare project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Monitor progress to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
Technical Oversight
Review mechanical design drawings, specifications, and documents.
Provide technical support and solutions to resolve site issues.
Ensure all mechanical installations comply with design requirements and regulatory standards.
Team Supervision
Supervise and coordinate the work of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews with the project team.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of mechanical works.
Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, civil, instrumentation, etc.) to resolve interface issues.
Quality & Safety Assurance
Implement quality control and safety procedures for all mechanical works.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning as per project requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare progress reports, technical documents, and handover documentation.
Manage material requisitions and ensure proper record-keeping of equipment and tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical project execution or management.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with project management software and MS Office applications.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: RM3,890.08 - RM15,000.00 per month
