About the role

The purpose of the Mechanical Static Engineer is to positively contribute and carry out value-adding analysis, studies, troubleshooting and the management of threats and opportunities by fully using your knowledge in an integrated team. You play a significant role in HSSE by ensuring the Technology and Engineering elements for Mechanical Engineering are accounted for in the various processes used to ensure safety and integrity of our asset. You capitalize on your technical knowledge, experience, AMS processes and integration skills to enable the SMEP objectives. You generate value and protect the asset (balancing out increased production while weighing out risks). You are always aware of the facility\xe2\x80\x99s capacity and limitations, and by contributing to the Natural Team, you enable the success of the Natural team and SMEP.

Natural Team: Execution NT. (PM/CM)

You are part of the Execution natural team and will contribute by supporting the safe execution of activities offshore primarily in an campaign approach.

You are based onshore, but mobilize offshore as required during the execution period such as Major PM/CM etc. Delivery of these objectives are via the AMS process: PME (Major) Turnarounds

Principal Accountabilities:

Plan, schedule, and execute the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activity program (PM/CM) for either PRV, HVAC or other static equipments e.g. valves, coolers. Integrates Static disciplines activities with Perform Maintenance Execution (PME) and Perform Turnaround (PTA) with Manage Asset Care (MAC) process

  • Raise Z1 notifications on reported anomalies from the PM inspection reports and ensure the corrective maintenance is completed via contractors and the support of Maintenance Execution Team
  • Identify cadence opportunities which includes cost, efficiency & safety improvements for the asset.
  • Acting as Contract Holder (CH) or Nominated Deputy Contract Representative (NDCR) for static contracts, managing post award contracts and support OPEX/Minor CAPEX cost budgeting exercise.
  • Perform and/or participate in Line of Defense (LOD) Assurance or Health Barrier Assessment (HBA) reviews for Assets to ensure SCE barrier integrity and compliance to company, group engineering codes and standards.
  • Provide inputs/participate in review/update of business control documents e.g. Equipment Integrity Management (EIM), Equipment Care Strategies (ECS), Inspection and Maintenance Practices (IMP), Performance Standard Amendment Note (PSAN), and other static equipment guidelines.
  • Develop/Set, review inspection and repair schedules of PRV as per Integrity Management System (IMS). Provide inputs and participate for PRV-RBI review.
  • Support Manage long term threats & opportunities (MTO) from a technical do ability and risk standpoint either as a opportunity/threat owner or discipline support.
  • Provide Mechanical Static Inputs to the MOCs (Management of Change) during review and implementation phases. Participate and provide inputs during risk assessment.
  • Provide the required support and mechanical static inputs during preparation and execution of the Asset Turnarounds, including site STQ responses
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or incident investigation with Mechanical Static Inputs and Expertise.
Leadership and Behavior:
Strong self-leadership with the ability to function independently as well as collaborate strongly with multiple disciplines to deliver team Goals. Ability to interact with both junior staff and senior leadership. Keen to coach and guide more junior members (graduates) of the team.

Interfaces:
Regular interface with peers in related teams, disciplines and processes. Frequent interfaces with GM-2 and GM-1 leadership and occasional interface with GM and above on request. Interfaces with Contractor in managing contract and execution of activities.

May be required to support engagement with external stakeholders such as JV Partners and External Auditors

Experience requirement: This position requires significant experience in work planning and site execution

What we need from you
- Preferably Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field
- Minimum 4 years of Mechanical Static related experience in oil and gas industry
- Work experience in offshore maintenance campaign/turnaround is preferred.

- Good understanding of the various international mechanical standards, e.g., ASME, API, ISO etc, as well as Shell DEP requirements
- Strong self-leadership with the ability to function independently as well as collaborate strongly with multiple disciplines, operation team, and function support teams e.g. contract procurement, finance, planning etc. to deliver team Goals

- Disciplined to ensure that proper work process is followed.
- Requires business awareness and interest to understand decision drivers and commercial constraints.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
- Able to go offshore when required during key activities.

- Good and effective teamwork and interpersonal and communication skills.
