Job Description


JOB PURPOSE The MAE supports the Medical Affairs team by providing operational and administrative support to the Head of Medical and department. The MAE will also be designated a therapy area / portfolio to support scientific communication. The MAE is a member of the Medical Affairs Department of Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore providing: i) Support in Medical Inquiries and Medical Operations ii) Support for designated therapy area through Scientific Communication and insight generation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Medical inquiries (MI) Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a scientifically balanced manner for delegated therapy areas. Manage the MI mailbox, distribute MI to the respective Medical Inquiry Responsible personnel, maintain the MI archive and coordinate reconciliation between pharmacovigilance and quality teams as required. Perform quality control of MI, prepare reports with findings and propose improvements to the MI processes & SOP. Provide training to ZP staff of MI processes. Medical operations Support development and maintenance of Medical Affairs department meetings, trainings, expenses, trackers, reports, ways-working guidebook, sharepoints and presentations. Support onboarding of new medical associates. Scientific communication and insight generation Engage HCPs in discussion over scientific data in an objective and balanced way and generate insights by understanding HCP practices, preferences and views towards the disease landscape and scientific data. Develop medical materials for scientific engagements, participate in medical activities (such as Continuing Medical Education events, Symposia, Scientific Exchange Meeting etc.) and provide support to speakers (such as content development, speaker briefing. Provide training for ZPT staff on latest scientific developments and new joiners with scientific knowledge of the therapy area. REQUIREMENTS Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\'s degree in any scientific field, preferably specialized in healthcare. Experience in healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry (Preferred). Ability to work independently, result-oriented, diligent and self motivated. Ability to work in a matrix environment and a good team player. Demonstrate or experience in the principles, techniques of data analysis, interpretation of clinical studies. Knowledgeable in local medical environment and healthcare system. Sound knowledge or experience in project management and processes. Communicate fluently in English. Ability to use a variety of software packages such as MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint etc for product correspondence, documents, presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases.
