Job Summary:
The
Medical Assistant
is responsible for supporting doctors, nurses, and wellness practitioners in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality healthcare and wellness services at OXYZ Health and Wellness Sdn. Bhd. This role includes assisting in clinical procedures, patient care, administrative support, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the wellness center or clinic.

Responsibilities :
Patient Care & Assessment
Provide professional nursing care to clients in line with established medical and wellness protocols.
Conduct health assessments, record vital signs, and maintain accurate patient documentation.
Assist doctors in consultations, minor procedures, and wellness treatments.
Treatment & Procedures
Administer medications, injections, IV drips, and other clinical procedures as prescribed.
Support wellness-related services such as health screenings, detox programs, and aesthetic/anti-aging treatments (depending on centre services).
Monitor clients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Clinical & Safety Compliance
Ensure adherence to infection control, hygiene, and safety standards.
Maintain proper handling, storage, and inventory of medications and medical supplies.
Comply with nursing best practices and regulatory requirements under the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Customer Service & Wellness Support
Educate clients on wellness, lifestyle, and preventive health practices.
Provide professional guidance and respond to client inquiries in a courteous manner.
Work closely with the wellness team to enhance client experience.
Administrative Duties
Maintain and update patient records in the system.
Assist in scheduling, documentation, and reporting as required.
Support wellness programs, workshops, or events organized by the centre.
Teamwork & Professional Development
Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other team members to deliver holistic wellness care.
Participate in training, continuous learning, and upskilling relevant to wellness and healthcare services.
Requirements:
Diploma in Medical Assistant or equivalent qualification recognized by the
Malaysian Medical Assistant Board (Lembaga Pembantu Perubatan Malaysia)
.
Must possess a valid
Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
.
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience in a clinic, hospital, or wellness environment.
Good clinical knowledge, with strong attention to detail and patient safety.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry systems).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
Friendly, professional, and service-oriented demeanor.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
