The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role serves as a bridge between pharmaceutical industry and healthcare professionals. MSL is responsible in supporting the strategic scientific direction of Boehringer Ingelheim by providing scientific information to healthcare professional, primarily with defined External Experts (EEs) or key opinion leaders (KOLs) in medical community via scientific exchanges or presentation. MSL will be a member in the Medical Affairs team and work closely with the cross-functional brand team.
Duties & Responsibilities
External experts (EE) engagement and advocacy building: scientific exchanges and communication with EEs
Engage with EEs, clinicians, medical societies, and other data-driven stakeholders to address BI and customer needs and drives awareness on BI products in the academic and clinical community
Build and maintain high level of medical/scientific expertise for the respective product and therapeutic area
Gather medical insight to guide internal decision-making for brand preparation
Support planning and execution of local medical strategies
Contribute medical expertise for internal and cross-functional collaboration
Provide medical training to ensure sufficient product knowledge for field force and other departments
Support evidence generation plan such as non-interventional studies, non-trial activities, and investigator-initiated studies.
Perform all company business in accordance with all regulations and company policies and procedure
Requirements
A minimum of PHD, Master or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in relevant life science field (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, science, biology, etc.)
Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry or prior MSL experience is preferred

Ability to build and maintain strong scientific relationships with EEs or KOLs in the medical field
Deep understanding of the therapeutic area, relevant products, and overall medical landscape
Ability to analyse, appraise, and translate complex scientific information to different audiences
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written English communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and interest in digital environment
Willingness and ability to travel, as the role involves meeting with KOLs and attending conferences
