Description Position at Samtec, Inc Job title: MEG MANUFACTURING ENGINEER Summary/Objective This role is to provide engineering support for Samtec Malaysia production tooling via trouble shooting, problem solving and design modifications while interfacing with Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Group on all projects. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities. To interface with Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Group on all Malaysia tooling related projects Project management of Penang and Johor Bahru tooling projects. To review Malaysia tooling concerns relating to product quality or cost reduction projects Monitor all tooling related troubleshooting activities in all Malaysia facilities Provide tooling problem statement along with a proposed solution to Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Group manager Provide engineering assist in the debug of incoming tooling to Malaysia. Monitor tooling projects being built by Malaysia tool shops Provide engineering assistance to Malaysia tool shops in the manufacturing of Samtec production tooling Ensure that all tooling changes/modifications are properly requested, executed, implemented and documented. Any other job related functions as requested by Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Group. Tooling changes and updating print in PDM vault. Special project; as and when instructed by Superior Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions \'The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.\' Required Experience 3 years in related / similar position Preferred Education Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering / related technical or equivalent experience.
