The company is a registered grade G7 contractor under the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) and has been MS ISO 9001:2015 certified since 1996.Industry: Main Contractor (Design & Build)Reports to: MEP Project ManagerJob Summary:The MEP Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings and designs for various projects. This role requires collaboration with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient project documentation.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed MEP drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Prepare layouts, plans, sections, and detailed drawings for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
• Ensure all MEP drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MEP systems and drafting techniques.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including schedules, specifications, and as-built drawings.
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements, collect data, and ensure accuracy of drawings.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings and project documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman, with at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to conduct site visits and work in various project environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and software.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient systems.
