Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to achieve company sales and profit targets.
Analyze customer preferences, competitor activities, and market trends to define product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure product quality, timely deliveries, and contract compliance.
Manage stock levels across warehouse and outlets to ensure optimal inventory availability and turnover.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to improve forecasting accuracy and replenishment efficiency.
Oversee purchase budgets and business contract commitments, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial goals.
Track sales performance, analyze data, and take corrective actions to meet or exceed category and overall business targets.
Prepare performance reports and provide insights to management on market trends, category growth, and improvement areas.
Supervise daily merchandising operations, including bulk supplier orders, retail purchases, inter-outlet transfers, warranty handling, and trade returns.
Ensure documentation and processes are accurate, seamless, and compliant with company standards.
Partner with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and product launches that drive visibility and sales.
Work closely with store teams and optometrists to understand customer preferences and improve product offerings.
Identify and introduce new products that align with customer lifestyles and market demand.
Ensure all product displays and merchandising activities reflect brand standards and enhance customer engagement.
Requirements
Diploma/ Degree in Merchandising or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement and distribution processes.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Proficient in using retail POS and inventory management system
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
Sense of urgency and business acumen
Effective communication and negotiation skills

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
