Manage a specific merchandise category, including sourcing, pricing, inventory management, marketing, and sales planning.
Develop short- and long-term category strategies that align with targets and consumer demand.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to proactively adjust assortment and pricing strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners, including local and international brands to support business growth.
Plan seasonal campaigns, product launches, and special events to maximize customer engagement and sales.
Monitor stock levels, manage markdowns, and ensure optimal inventory turnover to reduce loss and overstocking.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in any discipline; a background in fashion, marketing, or business is a plus.
Minimum 5 years' experience in merchandising, preferably in fashion within a department store or retail environment.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and managerial skills; able to set objectives and follow through.
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable to a multicultural, fast-paced retail environment.
Familiarity with merchandising or inventory management tools is an advantage.
