About the role
Merchandising Manager- Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei
Shape, tech enable & govern product placement strategies for the Haleon portfolio across sales channels in Malaysia Singapore & Brunei to maximize offtake (win-the- purchase). This includes developing merchandising strategies, analyzing sales data, managing inventory, DC to store replenishment and overseeing product placement.
Role Responsibilities:
DEVELOPING & IMPLEMENTING MERCHANDISING STRATEGIES:

• Overall: Creating and executing plans to optimize product placement, presentation, and overall merchandising effectiveness.
• Tailor making (Channel/Customer): Build in agility/flexibility to adapt execution plans for channel/customers to be in sync with customer positioning & shopping missions for Haleon participating categories
• Route-to-Market: Consistently assess the retail landscape to ensure the deployment of the merchandising team is in line with current/future shopping patterns E.g. Time-in-market (TIM)

BUSINESS INSIGHTS & ANALYTICS:
Partner with sales, trade marketing, commercial excellence, supply chain & IT to build a tech enabled ecosystem that delivers the following:

• Sales Force Effectiveness: Delivers sharp insights that improve merchandising teams' productivity on core KPI's - On Shelf Availability, Share-of-shelf, Quality of display (QOD) planogramming governance (image recognition)
• Initiative evaluation/ROI: Support data-based evaluation of trade initiatives - Promotion deployment, campaign performance and NPI launches with a view to distill what delivers best results
• Competitive landscape: Lead the effort in the organizations understanding on in-market activities from competitors/best-in-class with a view to enable better/smarter decisions

• DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING:

• Sales/Sales KPI Reporting: Responsible for daily, weekly & monthly reporting of E.D.G.E metrics managed by the merchandising team- On Shelf Availability, Share-of-shelf, Quality of display (QOD) planogramming governance (image recognition), coverage compliance
• VENDOR MANAGEMENT:

• Collaborating effectively with the merchandising & activation agencies to deliver excellence execution and negotiate contracts & services within allocated budgets on behalf of the organization
• CROSS FUNCTION COLLABORATION:

• Working with the cross-function team of sales, marketing, trade marketing and our customers to deliver a winning partnership on execution excellence
• CAPABILITY BUILDING (SHAPING):

• Drive the execution agenda by leading and enabling the capability of the merchandising team in collaboration with the sales, marketing and trade marketing teams

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 + years as a merchandising manager
• Self-starter having strong business acumen, interpersonal skills and in-market experience
• Brilliant in data, analytics and problem solving
• Adept in 3PL team management with relevant experience in FMCG
• Ability to work effectively with and influence multiple functions and all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate with a bachelor's degree
