About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operational to support Secured and Unsecured Loans products, includes loan booking & conversion, loan repayments, transactions, maintenances, refunds and exception processing.
  • Review instructions received and unit\'s control reports to ensure all transactions and maintenances are carried out only by Authorized Personnel.
  • Ensure task quality of the team and solve unique transaction services issues/problems based on information analysis. Recommend new work procedures through an understanding of current procedures or technology enhancements to reduce cycle time in enhancing productivity and cost effectiveness
  • Coordinating with Third Party Vendor to ensure services delivered are in line with defined controls, agreed service standards and turnaround times to meet customers\' expectations.
  • Responsible for the department\'s LBV and GL accounts. Understand the nature of the accounts and all irregularities are investigated and resolved timely.
  • Assist to build back-strength staff, evaluate team performance, identify training/development needs for all the assigned personnel and other personnel actions
  • Take responsible for the financial of the unit and to constantly finds opportunities to contribute to planning and budget management.
  • Manage assigned compliance and process reviews through the QRA(MCA) self-assessment exercise
  • Work with Products/Business to ensure any changes to existing products features and new products roll-out are aligned and duly supported.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding UOB, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Job Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related role
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
