The Role Responsibilities
Job Role ICS is a critical function within Standard Chartered Bank. As part of the ICS activities within SCB, multiple information security projects are being pursued to enhance the Privilege Identity Management and Infrastructure within the organization, under the umbrella of IAM (Identity Access Management). IAM programme requires a strong E2E Testing and QA Manager to manage, govern and deliver the required testing and quality aspects of the programme and its BAU (Service) areas, from overall Test management and delivery perspective. Candidate should have a solid record of accomplishment in delivering multiple concurrent, complex software delivery projects with exposure on both Functional and Non-Functional activities like Manual testing, Automation Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, DR testing, OAT delivery, etc. The candidate is expected to be responsible and accountable for testing and quality of every delivery going through to production via both the project and BAU route. Candidate should have good track record of End to End Test Management of complex projects, which includes Strategy creation, planning, documentations, stakeholder management, presentation, conflict management and hands on execution as required. Experience in Data Security solutions would be a bonus. The ability to successfully communicate with senior management and business stakeholders is essential. Candidate is also expected to contribute towards Performance Testing planning and execution with prior exposure to Performance testing. Candidate must have previous hands on experience of Test Automation, Cloud, DevOps, CI / CD integration and open to conduct hands on testing if required. Candidate should also have prior experience of ensuring quality of Vendor product and deliveries. Exposure to Cloud technologies and experience of working with Cloud based / hosted (AWS and Azure) Apps, Solutions will be beneficial. Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement E2E Test Strategies for multiple Applications and Projects.
  • E2E manage both functional (UT, ST, SIT, UAT) and non functional (PT, DR, SAT, OAT) testing phases.
  • Define and document end to end test strategies to encompass both project and service mode (BAU) deliveries.
  • Responsible and accountable for testing and quality in every delivery to production, from both project and BAU mode of delivery.
  • Documents and plan all the mandatory and required testing artefacts and deliverables as per bank standards.
  • Conduct quality checks of delivery across different phases of SDLC.
  • Manage stakeholders at project, programme and Service level.
  • Ensure adherence to bank standards processes and standards for test deliverables.
  • Work closely with the Central QA Governance team to manage the expectation and testing compliance for both projects and BAU.
  • Create, manage and deliver test estimation and schedule.
  • Coordinate and conduct all the testing phases by relevant teams and ensure the tests, traceability, evidence and sign off are captured and obtained appropriately.
  • Own and conduct Performance testing, as appropriate.
  • Defect Management and coordination.
  • Manage and coordinate delivery from Vendor.
  • Ensure Vendors adhere and delivery to SCB Vendor Testing guidelines.
  • Implement Test Automation (using selenium, jUnit, Cucumber) and drive towards optimisation of testing capability.
  • Escalation management.
  • Lead and support the testing team involving Test Lead, Sr Test Engineer and Test Engineer in delivering the agreed testing scope.
  • Align Test activities with the overall project plan and change agenda of the wider programme.
  • Effectively communicate and articulate to stakeholders (at multiple levels) the test strategies, status, highlight risks, mitigation and defects.
  • Take ownership of end to end testing activities (including functional - Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, UAT and non-functional - Performance Testing).
  • Take ownership of quality (QA) in delivery throughout the SDLC as per SCB standards and processes.
  • Demonstrate intuition and knowledge about how to find unanticipated behaviour through exploratory testing, apply this knowledge with measurable result to improve the product\'s quality, and translate these newly discovered behaviours into automated tests.
  • Coordinate with BA, Designers, Business Users, Developers and other stakeholders.
  • Represent testing in programme level forums.
  • Resource management (work and career perspective).
  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Support the Head of Testing in driving organisations test strategy and roadmap.
  • Hands-on Performance Test planning, coordination, data setup, execution, reporting and management.
  • Experienced and expertise in using JMeter, Load Runner, Performance Centre, Soap UI, Post Man tools for Performance Testing with be an advantage.
  • Engages with testing and development teams across the programmes / projects.
  • Manage and guide any non -functional testing done by Vendor.
  • Keeps current with new practice and technical developments for potential use as solutions to requirements.
  • Works with Engineering and Solution teams to drive architecture based on system performance.
  • Provides consultancy and advisory services to the business, systems development and QA in terms of Non-Functional Requirement testing.
  • Present and articulate Performance Testing aspects, standards, processes, findings and reports.
Test Automation responsibilities (must have)
  • Understand the bank\xe2\x80\x99s automation framework and drive the implementation of the same within the team.
  • Creation of regression test script for automation and execution of regression test pack.
  • Optimise team\xe2\x80\x99s delivery by implementing test automation.
  • CI / CD and DevOps integration.
  • Experience in TDD / BDD frameworks.
  • Experience in Cucumber, Gherkin syntax, Selenium, TestNG using Java.
  • Knowledge in Git, Subversion, Azure and Jenkins, Travis CI for Continuous Integration.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
  • 10 years of experience in E2E test management and hands on testing
  • 5 years of experience with hands on in test automation
  • 7 years of experience with non-functional (Performance) testing
  • 12 years of overall IT experience
Must Have Skills and Experience
  • 2 - 3 years experience with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure.
  • Experience with Container platforms - Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Excellent problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Public cloud certifications will be a plus.
  • Experience of testing and test managing cloud based systems / application.
  • Strong communication, Interpersonal, Learning and organizing skills matched with the ability to manage stress, Time, and People effectively.
  • Open minded, pragmatic and flexible.
  • Proven experience in co-ordination of many dependencies and multiple demanding stakeholders in a complex, large-scale deployment environment.
  • Technically strong to understand the system architecture and configuration.
  • Should have understanding Micro Services Architecture and API.

  • Diverse knowledge and experience of working on Agile Deliveries and Scrum teams.
  • Experience of defining Performance test plan, execution plans and PT Test Closure report.
  • Experience with Performance Testing tools like Load Runner, Performance Centre, J-meter, etc.
  • Exposure to cloud-based / SaaS-based model implementation.
  • Experience in Selenium / Junit and programming languages such as Java and Python.
  • Experience on tools like JIRA and Confluence.
