Microbiology ManagerSupports laboratories in planning and advising microbiology activities, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices. Maintains extensive testing data and gives to reports and presentations for the wider business.What will you be doing?Lead and develop the Microbiology Department, comprising 10% of responsibilities.Establish and maintain procedures and methodologies for Environmental Monitoring, Sterility Assurance, and contamination control programs, accounting for 20% of duties.Review, develop, and validate reprocessing strategies, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization processes for products, ensuring compliance with regulations such as MDR, ISO, FDA, and industry standards, representing 20% of tasks.What will you need to be successful?This position requires a Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Engineering, or a related field, with preference given to candidates with advanced degrees. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, particularly in GMP and/or ISO-regulated environments. Strong knowledge of US FDA (QSR) regulations and ISO13485 is important, with familiarity with government regulations and industry guidelines preferred.The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, along with experience in dealing with Auditing Bodies. Leadership and mentoring skills are necessary for this role, as well as confirmed project management abilities. Up to 10% travel may be required for this position.Proficiency in English is a must, along with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations. Effective written and verbal communication skills are crucial. Additionally, proficiency in sophisticated mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and algebra is desired.
