Job Title: Mid-level Unix Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a

self-motivated and experienced Linux/Unix Server & Storage Specialist

to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise server and storage infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, diagnose, and resolve escalated incidents on

Linux/Unix server platforms

. Escalate complex cases to L3 Infrastructure or Application teams when required. Perform regular server operations, including

setup, upgrades, patch deployment, monitoring, health checks, backups, and restores

. Troubleshoot system issues and optimize performance. Prepare and maintain

technical documentation

for server and storage operations. Provide support for server and storage-related issues and liaise with external vendors as needed. Operate and maintain

SAN infrastructure

and storage systems (IBM DS8870, EMC, HP 3PAR, IBM V7K, HDS G3xx). Configure and manage

FC switches

, SAN zoning, and SAN synchronization operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science

,

Information Technology

, or related discipline.

>2 years

of relevant experience with

Linux Servers, VMware, x86 servers, and storage

. Experience in sizable enterprises and

ITIL-compliant environments

is preferred. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills. Good written and verbal communication in

English

;

Cantonese

is a plus. Willingness to work

night shifts and public holidays

. Knowledge of

AIX/HP-UX/Solaris

is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month

Experience:
