Job Description

Part of the project team to plan, manage and execute SEDA Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) Mini-Hydro run-of-river projects Design Review of hydraulics, civil, mechanical and/or electrical components of a mini-hydro project Technical and commercial evaluation of proposals/quotations of various equipment such as hydro turbine-generator, penstocks, electrical interconnection with the national grid, SCADA, etc . Inspection of equipment including attending Factory Acceptance Tests. Liaison and coordination works with external parties (authorities, consultants, suppliers and contractors) for the execution of projects. Feasibility studies and conceptual design works for mini-hydro power plants. To support with the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters. Possible site assignment for construction and/or operations of the mini-hydro plants

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) Strong Interest in Renewable Energy, particularly Mini-Hydro. At least 5 Year(s) working experience in the related industry. Familiar with approvals & processes of Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Sustainability Energy Development Authority (SEDA) and other Federal/State government bodies dealing with mini-hydro projects Good command of written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English. Good with Microsoft Office. Good command of MS Project would be an added advantage.
